Leheriya-dyed cotton, burlap, copper

In 2024, I had the opportunity to study craft traditions in the city of Jaipur, India. Working with artisans that specialized in metalwork and the leheriya dyeing method, I created a garment that was part-dress, part-necklace. I was curious about how the properties of textiles could cooperate with metal and what it would mean for the body to host this material relationship.
